Northland Public Library is seeking a Shelver. This is an engaging position within the library that connects you to all departments of Northland. All applicants must be able to maintain sequential order of library collection both alphabetically and numerically. Attention to detail is a must. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; re-shelving library materials to their correct locations, pulling selected materials from the shelves for patron requests, maintaining order and appearance of library materials on the shelves. Basic computer skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff and the public are also necessary.
This is a part-time position (13 hours/week) with a starting rate of $8.25. Applicants must be at least 16 years old at time of application. Must be able to work a flexible rotating shift that includes morning, afternoon, and evening hours. Physical demands: The employee must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Graphic Designer (Part-Time)
We are seeking a part-time Graphic Designer.
Associates/Bachelor’s degree of fine arts, graphic design, or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred. Must have proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); experience with the design and printing/production process; creativity in developing innovative design solutions; ability to meet tight deadlines and to multi-task and prioritize.
This is a 12hr/week position with a starting rate of $15.19/hour. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating marketing and communications collateral that informs, inspires and engages our patrons and donors. Must bring creativity and innovation to projects while ensuring cohesiveness within Northland’s brand standards.
The position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications and will work closely with a full-time Graphic Designer, Events Coordinator, other library departments, and will work with the Northland Public Library Foundation for annual giving, and other various special projects.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including, morning hours prior to library opening, daytime, evening and weekends. Proximity to Northland Library preferred. Federal Criminal background Check, PA Criminal Record Check and PA Child Abuse History Clearance required upon offer of employment.
