Support | Make a Donation

Northland Public Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 25-1512340), which serves as the fundraising arm of Northland Public Library. All donations to the Foundation provide vital support for library operations and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of the more than 90,000 residents directly served by Northland.

Donations via cash or check can also be dropped off at any service desk at Northland Public Library or mailed to the following address:

Additional Methods of Giving

Donor Advised Funds. Donors who manage their charitable giving through a Donor Advised Fund such as Fidelity Charitable, BNY Mellon or Schwab Charitable, have the option to recommend one-time or recurring grants to benefit Northland Public Library.

IRA/Retirement Account Distributions. Donors over age 70 ½ can donate to Northland from certain individual retirement (IRA) accounts tax-free each year and avoid paying income taxes on the distribution. To make a qualified charitable distribution directly from your IRA to Northland, please contact your IRA administrator, and he or she can walk you through the process.

Planned Giving and Bequests. Many individuals seek to leave a legacy to the Library, often providing support for generations to come. A bequest is a gift from your estate – a transfer of cash, securities, or other property made through your estate plans. Making a bequest can be as easy as including language in your will or living trust leaving a portion of your estate to the Library, or by designating us as a full or partial beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.

For more information about any giving opportunities in support of Northland Public Library, please contact our Foundation Director Alexis McKinley at mckinleya@northlandlibrary.org or (412) 366-8100 x 104.

The Northland Public Library Foundation wants you to be confident in your charitable giving. The official registration statement and financial information may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling 800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
