Northland NerdCon

June 13, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

You don’t need to travel to San Diego to attend a Comic-Con. Join us June 13 for our annual Northland Nerdcon as we celebrate comics, anime, board games, role-playing, and all things nerdy! Come up with a great costume for the cosplay contest, compete to see if you’re the best Mario Kart racer, or just spend some time playing games with fellow nerds!

Visit bit.ly/nerdcon2026 for registration. Be sure to register by June 1 to ensure a place in the cosplay dagger making workshop, the Cosplay contest, or the Mario Kart Tournament.

Schedule of events:

9 a.m. to 10 a.m. – Registration and Check In
Upper Lobby

9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Cosplay Dagger Workshop
Meeting Room, lower level
Get hands on experience making a dagger to use in your next cosplay!

10 a.m. – Learn to Dance: Cha Cha
Upstairs Conference Room
Join Tricksii to learn a simple, fun cha cha!

10 a.m. – Kamishibai Japanese Folktale for Families
Learning Garden
Kamishibai is a Japanese folk art tradition that combines bicycles, storytelling, illustration, and audience participation. For all ages.

11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – Learn to Play Pokemon TCG
Upper Library
Join a certified Pokemon Professor to learn to play the Pokemon card game!

11 a.m. – Cosplay Judging
Meeting Room, lower level
Be sure to sign up for a judging time slot for the Cosplay Contest by 11:00am for a judging time slot!

1 p.m. – Cosplay Q&A
Upstairs Meeting Room
Our Cosplay judges will share tips and answer your questions about crafting your perfect cosplay!

1 p.m. – Kamishibai Japanese Folktale
Learning Garden
Kamishibai is a Japanese folk art tradition that combines bicycles, storytelling, illustration, and audience participation. This session will be best enjoyed by adults and kids 12+.

1 to 3 p.m. – Cosplay Photos
Teen section, lower level
Have your photo taken and photoshopped onto a fun background!

2to 4 p.m. – Mario Kart Tournament
Silent Study, upper level
Test your driving skills in our bracket style tournament. Which racer will take home the prize?

2:30 to 4 p.m. – Learn to Dance: Line Dances
Upstairs Meeting Room
Join Tricksii to learn line dances like the Cupid Shuffle!

4 p.m. – Cosplay Contest Showcase & Awards
Meeting Rooms, lower level
Show off your cosplay outfit or accessories for everyone and find out who our cosplay contest winners are!

Capt Cash – Instagram
Capt Cash has been cosplaying for 2 decades.  His first cosplay experience was back in 2005 at the Tokyo Game Show.  He works primarily in foam armor making and 3D printing, but dabbles in sewing and stage/special effects make-up.  He lives in the North Hills with his wife and two sons.

  

Corwynte (Any pronouns)
Corwynte discovered cosplay while attending their first anime convention, and has been hooked on the hobby since!  An award-winning craftsmanship cosplayer who loves bringing their favorite characters to life, cosplay has been their catalyst to learn a variety of skills, from sewing techniques and embroidery to 3D modeling and printing.  They love sharing their work-in-progress on projects and are always happy to offer guidance to new cosplayers!

   

Coco (he/they)
Hi! Hi! My names Coco_Chandler I’m an international cosplayer from El Salvador, who loves to travel and meet new people and places! I’m a SPFX Makeup artist and Cosplayer. I specialize in makeup and prosthetics in cosplay. I am also an Actor in the following categories of (Stilts/VA/and Movie/theater).

 

Feytaline – Website
Feytaline (she/her) is a cosplayer, photographer, and advocate who was recently featured in Allure magazine for her work in the anti-harassment community as the Operations Director for the Cosplayer Survivor Support Network. She crafts the majority of her own costumes, wigs, and props, and has been staffing in the convention community for over 15 years. She is looking forward to returning to Northland Nerdcon!

   

Trickssi – Instagram
Trickssi, CA is a cosplayer, certified victim advocate, and founder of the Cosplayer Survivor Support Network. Her cosplays are a mix of handmade and altered pieces with a focus on character acting and storytelling. Trickssi also hosts social partner dance lessons and the Formal Ball at Tekko!
