Chic on the Street: Northland’s Mobile Fashion Event
We’re rolling out the red carpet for our fashion-conscious library patrons! Visit Northland Public Library Saturday, August 24 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and shop at several fashion trucks (think “food truck” but with clamdiggers instead of clams). Magnolia on Main, the Vintage Valet Mobile Boutique and the Style Truck will be in the back of our upper parking lots to throw open their trunks.
Magnolia on Main provides clothing and accessories to fit the total lifestyle of each customer, whether the need is for a stylish blouse or a cute knit pant to wear after yoga or the gym. Offering convenience, contemporary styles and personal service, Magnolia on Main combines Main Street-style shopping with fashion know-how.
Bow by Kat is a boutique on wheels, bringing fun and affordable women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories and gift items in a unique shopping experience inside a truck.
Style Truck is a boutique on wheels, similar to a food truck, but stocked with clothing and accessories for women. Featuring many American-made items as well as jewelry from local artists, it is perfect for the woman on the go with styles for all ages. Style Truck, affectionately known as Cookie, is fashioned with a fitting room, shelving and racks inside.
Global Girl! Gifts will be here. Every time you browse Global Girl Gifts, you’ll find something new, with unique and distinctive fashion accessories and gift items from around the world. Look for hip handbags from Thailand, sumptuous hand-embroidered shawls from Kashmir, funky tribal jewelry from Afghanistan, hand-tooled leather journals from India, colorful silk handbags from Vietnam, and much more. Direct from the artisans, these handmade treasures are perfect for even the most budget-conscious trendsetter.
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Northland Public Library Foundation, whose mission is to build financial support through community fundraising to enhance the programs and growth of the library.
