BABY AND TODDLER FEATURED PROGRAMS

WINTER TALES STORYTIME
Wednesday December 17 at 10 a.m.
Children ages 3 to 6 and their caregiver can come on down to the library for a Winter-themed storytime and craft! Children must be at least 3 years of age to attend.

No registration required.

WINTER BOOKMARK CONTEST 2026 – January 1 to 31
Design a bookmark with all things winter reading in mind to enter our 2026 Winter Bookmark Contest. Pick up an entry form at the Children and Teen Services, Ask A Librarian desk, or download one below.  Entry forms will be available in late December.

Two winners will be chosen from each age category: Ages 0 to 5, ages 6 to 9, ages 10 to 12, ages 13 to 17, ages 18+

Entries will be accepted January 2 through January 31. Winners will be announced on February 7. Each winner will receive 30 bookmarks printed with their winning design and certificate. Winners may pick up their prize package from the Children and Teen Services desk beginning on February 20. All winning bookmarks will also be distributed at the Library.

SMALL FRY FUN SPECIAL EDITION! Zoo for twos (and slightly above)
March 3 from 10 to 10:30 a.m. – OR – 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.
Children ages 2-4 and one caregiver are invited to join us for this special storytime presented by the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Please only register the child who is attending and please only register for one session.

BABY AND TODDLER ONGOING PROGRAMS

TODDLER TIME
Wednesdays at 10 or 11 a.m. OR Fridays at 10 a.m.
For Toddlers, ages 12 months to 35 months, with a caregiver. Join Ms. Abby for songs, rhymes, and library fun to build important pre-reading and social skills. Sign up once for all five weeks.

Please note the Wednesday sessions and Friday session are identical. Families should only register for either a Wednesday at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. or the Friday session.

MOTHER GOOSE TUMMY TIME – Third Tuesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. in Rooms 148-1 & 2
Babies 3 to 12 months and a caregiver are invited to join us for a 20 minute storytime, followed by instruction from a physical therapist from Ivy Rehab on helping your baby in their current stage of development. Afterwards, enjoy some time to socialize!

Registration is required. Please register for each session separately.
