The Learning Garden at Northland is a place for open discovery and exploration, connecting and engaging with materials, and library programs. It’s an extension of the Library and our mission.
A variety of benches and grassy spots to bring a blanket and read, various areas to explore, and a pavilion to offer shade during sunny afternoons and to host storytimes, programs and library events, highlight the Learning Garden space.
Northland’s Learning Garden is typically open from the Spring through early Fall (April to October-ish), but this is dependent on weather. Please watch our social media for the latest information. The Learning may be closed during certain programs, especially during our Summer Reading program, or inclement weather. Please watch for signs, announcements and the like.
And please remember to bring your books (and backpacks and stuffies and water jugs and jackets) back into the Library when you are done exploring and using the space.
Check our calendar for an up-to-date schedule of programs in The Learning Garden.
