Building for the Future! – Support Northland with your year-end giving!
Dear Library Friend,
This Fall, Northland Public Library said farewell to its polarizing spiral staircase, and hello to a bright future ahead.
Construction began September 30th on the New Northland reimaging and renovation construction project, which will dramatically transform the Library for the better. The project is scheduled to be completed in early Summer 2025 and highlights include:
- New exterior lower-level building “extension”
- Café space for collaborating and connecting
- A fully ADA-accessible restroom on the upper level
- Enhanced check out and customer service areas
- Expanded and dedicated “teen space”
- New meeting room on the upper level with panoramic views
- New staircase
Library donors can support the New Northland Project and leave a lasting legacy at the Library by purchasing an engraved, permeable paver for the new patio for $250 now through December 31, 2024. Paver details and additional naming opportunities are available HERE.
Despite the ongoing construction, Northland Public Library is committed to remaining open to the public as much as possible throughout the project, and donors like you are vital to helping provide crucial financial support for new library materials, electronic resources, and programs in the year ahead.
If you already donated to Northland earlier this year or during September’s Love Your Library campaign, thank you for your generosity. If not, we ask you to make a tax-deductible year-end gift that reflects what the Library means to your family and your community.
We appreciate your continued support of Northland and its mission to enable, empower and encourage lifelong learning and discovery in a safe, welcoming space for all.
Sincerely,
Alexis McKinley – Director, Northland Public Library Foundation
