Have you wished for a place to play chess on a regular basis, pick up some tips and techniques along the way and enjoy the company of others who love the game? Working on a novel or just enjoy writing for fun? Want to spend a couple of hours focusing your craft and working alongside fellow writers? Come write in with us every third Thursday from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. No registration is required. Coffee and tea will be provided. Bring your own laptop or writing pad. (Begins January 18)
Informal talks on current events and popular culture. You pick the topic- nothing is out-of-bounds! Come together for lively and informal conversation on the second Friday of each month at 2 p.m. and the fourth Wednesday of each month at 1 p.m. No registration or commitment is required to attend.
Inklings: Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators – NEW!
Writers and illustrators with an interest in children’s literature gather to hone their skills through discussion and constructive critique. No registration necessary. This group will meet the second Sunday each month from 2-4 p.m. (Beginning January 14)
La Leche League
Le Leche League’s mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
