Build a Better World for Children – Register
(All ages through Fifth Grade)
Registration is required for some children and teen programs as noted. You may register online, in person at the children and teen reference desk or call 412-366-8100 extension 123.
**Reminder: If there is a delay in the Library’s opening due to inclement weather, morning programs will be cancelled.
Picture Book Picnic
Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m.
Bring a blanket, pack your lunch and listen to stories while you eat! Storytime will be held outside on sunny days and in our meeting rooms if it is stormy (or too hot!) outside. No registration required.
Fourth Annual Mother Goose Olympics!
Wednesday, August 2 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Please drop in for the Fourth Annual Mother Goose Olympics! This program is for all ages and no registration is required. Rain date will be Thursday, August 3 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Baby & Toddler Storytime
Thursday, August 3
Library fun for tiny ones from six months through 24 months, with a caregiver! Nursery rhymes, tickles, bounces and more, designed to spark pre-reading skills and library joy. No registration necessary.
Barnyard Petting Zoo
Friday, August 4 from 10 a.m. – Noon
Moo, baa, oink, woof! The Barnyard Petting Zoo is back! Summer reading participants of all ages come and meet the baby farm animals. For a small fee, enjoy feeding the animals or giving them a bottle. No registration necessary.
Mondays at 9:30 a.m.
September 11 – December 18
Toddlers and their grown-ups share a lively half-hour of songs, rhymes and library fun under the tree in the Children’s department. No registration necessary.
Baby and Me Storytime
Mondays at 9:30 a.m.
September 11 until December 18 in the Playful Parenting Room
Babies and a grown up companion can joins us for songs, rhymes, tickles, parachute fun, and bubbles. This 20 minute baby-centered storytime ends with a chance for babies and grown-ups to socialize!
